One year of ACT Street Angels

29 Oct 2024

On Sunday 27th October we held an evening of Prayer and Praise at St James' Church celebrating the first anniversary of ACT Street Angel patrols around the streets of Accrington.

A talk was given by John Haworth, Pastor of Oasis Church, Accrington, Councillor Mike Booth, Mayor of Hyndburn, gave the closing remarks. Both are active ACT Street Angels. This has been an incredible year where, as a group, we have made over 500 interactions with the people of Accrington, and saved at least one young life in the process.

The evening culminated in the presentation of a cheque for £200 from Eddie O'Brien of IMEP in recognition of ACT Street Angels helping out at the Jess Glynne concert earlier in the year.
